“Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you respond to it”

Does it ever seem like life is just happening to you? You’ve lost your sense of purpose or the problems are simply too overwhelming to know where to start. Maybe you’re wondering, "How did I get to this point?" or "Will it ever get any better?" Counseling is a great first step toward living the life you want to live and gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and others.

My approach to counseling is one of collaboration and connection that fosters the courage needed to take small steps that impact the trajectory of your life and relationships. While I take this work very seriously, I don’t take myself too seriously. I value authenticity and humor, and I find great joy in walking with my clients through life’s hardships and triumphs. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, feeling stuck in painful memories of past trauma, or struggling in your relationships, you don’t have to face it alone.

Individual Counseling

In my work with individuals, we focus on what is most important to you and develop the skills needed to reach your goals. We’ll work on practical tools that empower you to take actions aligned with your values, bringing a sense of vitality back to your life. I welcome continuous feedback and offer a flexible approach that meets you exactly where you are.

Couples Counseling

I am passionate about helping couples break old cycles and cultivate healthier patterns of communication that honor both individuals. Whether your relationship has taken a sudden hit or you’re experiencing a slow drift because other priorities took over, therapy can help. I draw from a systems perspective, integrating a strengths-based approach to deepen your connection and rebuild a strong foundation.

A Little About Me

I came to counseling as a second career. My passion for supporting unique needs first led me to special education, where I taught for four years before stepping away to raise my children. When my youngest entered school, I went back to school myself to earn my degree in counseling—and I am so glad I did. I wake up every day with a genuine sense of joy and satisfaction in doing work that is deeply meaningful to me.

Outside of work, I’m busy chasing after my two kids and our pets, enjoying Taco Tuesday with my husband and friends, reading thrillers, cheering on my Texas Aggies—Whoop!—and staying active in my church community.
